It’s the first year of The Bristol Coffee House Project, a two-day, caffeine-fuelled celebration of the best the city has to offer; focussing on local, artisan roasters, independent food and drink retailers and home-grown baristas. The Coffee House Project is the work of Louisa Parry and Sofia Simou, who have more than 15 years' experience in the events industry between them and have lived and breathed coffee culture in London, Athens and Sydney. The duo launched the Bristol festival in order to showcase the city's best roasters and baristas.
Dhan, Don and Ben were all invited along to host a series of workshops for Wogan Coffee and The Bristol Coffee House Project itself, which drew some pretty BIG crowds! Anyone who knows Dhan may be a bit aware of the fact that he’s quite the showman at heart and is never happier than when he’s centre-stage performing and sharing his knowledge with others (some may say showing-off!) The festival kicked-off on Friday afternoon with a latte art demonstration with our friends at Wogan Coffee and even took part in his very first podcast! The day ended with the official launch party, featuring craft beers and local spirits; the inevitable outcome of which was three very sore heads the next day. Thankfully, being a coffee festival, there was enough caffeine at hand to get them all back on their feet the following day.
Thank you to Wogan Coffee and The Bristol House Coffee Project for being the best hosts!
