It is mandatory that baristas attending this course should have passed the Barista Skills Intermediate level and will have at least three months experience working as a professional barista. At this level you will be exploring the limits of your espresso technique and refining your palate.
We will focus heavily upon management techniques – streamlining workflow practices for maximum efficiency, how to maintain equipment to ensure consistency in the quality of output and how to manage the skills of others in a team environment so that they produce high quality beverages and provide excellent customer service.
We will also be looking at the science involved in espresso extraction and how to test and optimise the water that you will be using to SCA standards so that the flavour of the espresso that you produce remains unaffected.
