DT Coffee Brazil Pedra Azul is from two farms, Fazenda Córrego Capivara and Sítio Sombra do Cedro, belonging to the uncle-nephew farming team of Pedro and Jeverson Pin. Jeverson’s grandfather, Augustim Pin came to Brazil from Italy and began planting coffee on land he inherited from his father, Onório Pin, in the 1950’s.
Fazenda Córrego Capivara is named for the Capivara community where the farm is located, and today 21 of the property’s 27 hectares are planted with coffee.
Sítio Sombra do Cedro, which translates to “shade of the oak tree.” Is located in the Patrimônio do Ouro community of the city of Castelo, about an hour from Pedro’s farm in Vargem Alta, and 15 of Sombra do Cedro’s 22 hectares are planted with coffee.
Variety: Red and Yellow Catuai.
Process: Pulp Natural.
Expect notes of Chocolate, bright citrus and stone fruit.
